You-Stress: Understanding How Stress Impacts You!

We all feel stress from time to time, whether from work or our personal lives!

Join us for an alumni-led presentation and discussion about stress: defining stress (e.g., eustress and distress), how stress impacts your body, and how to make modifications to your daily routine and environment to achieve optimal levels of stress preventing burnout and increasing productivity. The discussion may include information on ergonomics, sensory strategies, executive functioning skills, and stress management techniques.

About the host:
Juliana Pérez graduated from Columbia's occupational therapy program with a doctorate in functional cognition. Her work focuses on helping college students to use strength-based approaches to define success while facilitating goal-attainment. She has worked at Caltech and presented on the topic of work life balance through the Lorentz Center. Click here to learn more about Dr. Pérez's work.
